Demonstration of 25 Gbit/s PAM4 Hybrid Photonic-Wireless Transmission

Abstract

We experimentally demonstrate a hybrid optical fiber-wireless link by employing photonic heterodyning up-conversion on the existing PON with 10G class EML and 25Gbit/s PAM4 over 40km SMF. Off-line digital signal processing (DSP) is also employed for digital down conversion.
