Linear and nonlinear characterization of silicon/silicon-rich nitride hybrid waveguides

Abstract

Silicon/silicon-rich nitride hybrid waveguides have been proposed and experimentally demonstrated. The waveguides were measured to have a linear loss of ~5.60 dB/cm and a nonlinear parameter of ~32.3 W−1m−1.
