80-GHz Colliding-Pulse Mode-Locked Laser with High Pulse Power

Abstract

We demonstrate an 80 GHz colliding-pulse mode-locked laser with pulse width of 1.75 ps, pulse energy of 0.33 pJ. With a long saturable absorber, we achieve two-fold improvement in pulse energy and peak power.
