Abstract

Self-mixing interferometer employs resonant phase modulator operating at 12MHz to non-contact measure micron ultrasonic vibration with accuracy better than λ/40. Hilbert transform extracts phase-shift with automatic direction distinguishing. Experimental results are compared to LDV.
