Design of random nanostructures for optical power splitter with arbitrary splitting ratio

Abstract

We design a random 2D nanophotonic structure for optical power splitting using a nonlinear searching algorithm. The designed devices could achieve arbitrary split ratio with 80% transmission efficiency over 30 nm wavelengths.
