Unidirectional transmission in finite-size high-contrast gratings

Abstract

The finite-size high-contrast grating is unidirectional in its transmission caused by the eigenmodes of the high-contrast grating section. This unidirectional transmission in the finite-size high-contrast grating is very useful for photonic integration.
