Abstract

We develop two survivable fragmentation-aware spectrum allocation approaches to improve spectrum utilization in software-defined elastic optical networks. Simulation results show that the proposed spectrum allocation approaches reduce blocking probability compared to the first-fit spectrum allocation approach.
