Ultra-compact femtosecond laser for next generation optical storage

Abstract

Femtosecond lasers have become a very promising technology for optical storage. Most recent progress of femtosecond laser based optical storage will be summarized, practical challenges such as form factor, cost and reliability will be discussed.
