Abstract

Optical frequency combs are used as a set of mutually coherently orthogonal signals to realize high speed signal processing. Here, we demonstrate high speed sampling, arbitrary waveform generation and matched filtering functionality using frequency combs and vertical cavity surfacing emitting lasers as modulation elements for individual comb components.
