Training Symbol Assisted Optical Signal-to-Noise Ratio Monitoring Technique for DDO-OFDM Systems

Abstract

A high-accuracy training symbol assisted optical signal-to-noise ratio (OSNR) monitoring technique for DDO-OFDM systems is proposed and demonstrated with less than 0.42dB estimation error in an 8.87Gb/s QPSK-OFDM system over 40km SSMF transmission.
