Abstract

We investigate novel vertically-coupled SiNx microdisk resonators formed by multiple SiNx microdisk resonators stacked on top of each other separated by interleaving SiO2 layers. We present the experimental results on optical coupling in a bi-layer SiNx microdisk resonator near 1550 nm.
