Organic Vapor Sensing with Silicon Quantum-Dot-Coated Optical Fiber

Abstract

Silicon quantum dots coupled to an optical fiber was used as a probe to detect organic vapors for sensing applications. The sensor shows a high sensitivity and specificity due to the surfaces of the dots.
