Demonstration of Coexistence of Legacy Video and OFDM-PON in the Video Wavelength Band for Enhancing the Throughput and Flexibility of TDM PON Systems

Abstract

We experimentally demonstrate the coexistence of OFDM-PON with legacy video to more than double the aggregate downstream speed to >10Gb/s, achieving 26.6-dB loss budget after 20-km SSMF transmission with no change to the video system.
