Abstract

We propose fractional orbital angular momentum (OAM) dense mode-division multiplexing (DMDM) assisted by 6×6 MIMO equalization in free-space optical communications. The performance of multiplexing with different fractional OAM mode intervals is comprehensively evaluated.
