Enhanced Resilience to Rayleigh-Backscattering in Single Fiber Bidirectional Color-Less WDM-PON

Abstract

We demonstrate the sensitivity of a system improved much more than 8-dB when the effectiveness of the Rayleigh backscattering crosstalk is very high (SCR@11.13-dB). The novel scheme is based on band-stop optical filter and modified duo-binary coding.
