Implementation of W-band orthogonal OSSB modulation using a quantum dot mode-locked laser incorporating a polarization modulator

Abstract

Orthogonal optical single-sideband modulation working at W-band based on the effects of mode-locking and polarization modulation is proposed and demonstrated. It could be used in the microwave photonics system to improve the performance and break through the bandwidth restriction.
