An Optically Controlled Beamforming Network Using Phase Shifters based on Single Sideband Polarization Modulation

Abstract

A simple optically controlled beamforming network is proposed and demonstrated based on single sideband polarization modulation. RF beam steering using a 4-element linear patch antenna array operating at 14GHz is experimentally verified.
