Cavity Enhanced Nonlinearity in Injection-locked Semiconductor Ring Lasers

Abstract

Third order nonlinearity in semiconductor ring lasers has been numerically analysed. Compared with Fabry-Perot lasers, semiconductor ring lasers are 4 times more efficient in four-wave mixing processes, due to its travelling-wave nature.
