Polarization-selective Couplings in Chiral Long-period Gratings Based on Eccentric Elliptical-Core Fibers

Abstract

Mode couplings in chiral long-period fiber gratings based on eccentric elliptical-core fibers are studied. Their plentiful circular-polarization-selectivity properties are expounded by the angular-matching condition, and then demonstrated by the following numerical simulations.
