Optimal Planning for Electronic Traffic Grooming in IP over Elastic Optical Networks

Abstract

We develop a mixed integer linear programming (MILP) model to investigate the benefit of electronic traffic grooming in IP over elastic optical networks. Numerical results show that traffic grooming helps improve the network throughput.
