High Tone-to-Noise Ratio Optical Comb Generation by Noise Suppression Using an Asymmetric Mach-Zehnder Interferometer

Abstract

A novel scheme for optical comb generation to enhance tone-to-noise ratio (TNR) is proposed. According to theoretical analysis, 20-tone and 50-tone optical combs with the TNR as high as 37.5dB were generated by this improved scheme.
