Priority-oriented Spectrum Defragmentation Algorithm Aiming to Maintain the Network Performance

Abstract

Proposed in this paper is a novel priority-oriented defragmentation algorithm in flexible bandwidth optical networks. Simulation results show that it is able to reduce the blocking rate meanwhile maintain the network performance.
