Abstract

An incremental capacity allocation with wavelength planning problem is investigated to maximize the number of backup path provisioned services in wavelength unconvertible WDM mesh networks. Numerical results show that all the services can be provisioned a backup path with little number of new links and new wavelengths added to the existing topology.
