Channel Estimation Using Superimposed Training for Coherent Optical OFDM Systems

Abstract

We demonstrate by simulation that the superimposed training based channel estimation scheme can achieve similar performance as compared with conventional schemes, without any loss in bandwidth. An iterative decision feedback algorithm is also developed to enhance the channel estimation.
