A Novel Hybrid Ring Tree TDM/WDM-PON with Cost-effective Fault Protection

Abstract

A cost-effective fault protection scheme for hybrid TDM/WDM PON is proposed. Our scheme has the characteristic of low cost per unit bandwidth and fast recovery time while keeping connection availability at an acceptable level.
