Coherent Crossed Frequency to Time Mapping and Its Application to Microwave Photonic Signal Generation

Abstract

Coherent crossed frequency to time mapping (CFTTM) is proposed aided by intersymbol interference in the process of coherent frequency to time mapping. Photonic arbitrary waveform generation as well as modulated signal generation is demonstrated without the need of signal averaging.
