Fabrication of Cerium-Doped Silica Scintillating Fiber Based on Powder-in-Tube Technique

Abstract

Cerium-doped fibers were fabricated through powder-in-tube technique. The sol-gel powders doped with Cerium were characterized by using XRF, FTIR and Raman spectra. The scintillating fiber shows sensitivity to gamma ray radiation.
