III-nitride Microdomes for High Efficiency Light-Emitting Diodes and Concentrator Photovoltaics

Abstract

Uniform III-nitride microdomes were fabricated based on a low cost and scalable self-assembled approach. Our studies show that III-nitride microdomes significantly enhance light extraction efficiency in light-emitting diodes and light collection efficiency in solar cells.
