Lateral cavity surface emitting laser based on high contrast grating

Abstract

We present a single mode lateral cavity surface emitting laser based on high contrast grating. Electrically driven high output power of 3.94 mW and divergence angle of 7.4° lasing action are obtained at room temperature.
