Performance Evaluation of Large-Scale OXC Architecture Employing Wavelength Path Switching and Fiber Selection

Abstract

We present a hardware scale analysis of our proposed large-scale OXC architecture that is based on dynamic wavelength grouping and fiber selection. Numerical experiments show that it significantly reduces the number of necessary WSSs.
