Optimization of a Feedforward Symbol Timing Estimator Using Two Samples per Symbol for Optical Coherent QPSK Systems

Abstract

A feedforward symbol timing estimator using only two samples per symbol is proposed and optimized for optical coherent QPSK signal. Simulation results are presented and discussed.
