Mach-Zehnder based optical switches in silicon-on-insulator

Abstract

In this paper, we experimentally demonstrated a series of Mach-Zehnder optical switches on silicon-on-insulator, including the 2×2, 1×3 electro-optical switch, 3×3 thermo-optical switch using a single combined phase shifter, four-port broadband electro-optical routing switch.
