Design and Evaluation of a Resilient Protection Scheme For Hybrid WDM/TDM PON

Abstract

A protection scheme for hybrid WDM/TDM PON migrated from sparsely distributed TDM PON is proposed and evaluated. Simulation and performance analysis show a characteristics of high reliability and low bandwidth cost of the scheme.
