On Timing Offset Estimation in Coherent Optical OFDM Systems with Low Optical Modulation Index

Abstract

A novel timing offset estimation method for coherent optical OFDM systems under low optical modulation index as modification to Minn’s method is presented. Simulation results show that it has better synchronization acquisition performance.
