Abstract

A novel beam splitter is designed on the basis of the coupling characteristics between the waveguide and ring resonator. By Simply adjusting the effective refractive of the coupling rods, uniform or free splitting can be achieved. The characteristics of the structure are investigated by FDTD and PWE methods.
