A Novel DBA Algorithm Supporting QoS for EPON Networks

Abstract

Designing efficient bandwidth allocation algorithms is a critical issue in EPON. In this paper, a novel DBA algorithm is presented to efficiently and fairly allocate bandwidth among different users. This algorithm is integrated with non-strict priority scheduling and priority queuing to implement a cost effective EPON network with QoS support.
