Abstract

In this paper, a novel phase regenerator with semiconductor optical amplifier is proposed. By theoretical analysis and simulation, the optimum parameters of phase regenerator are obtained. The relevant data are compared. The results show that nearly ideal phase regeneration is achieved. Bit error rate improvement is greater than ten orders of magnitude.
