Abstract

The simultaneous wired and broadcasting signals transmission based on WDM-PON access network are proposed and their experimental results are shown in this paper. ASE source modulated by broadcasting signal is provided for channels of wired signals. The filtered ASE source is aligned to each channel and modulated by the wired signal at RSOA. Simultaneous downstream transmission of wired and broadcasting signals over 23-km SMF is experimentally verified and mutual interference between wired and broadcasting signals is analyzed.
