High Strength Fusion Splicing of Hollow-Core Photonic Bandgap Fiber and Single-Mode Fiber

Abstract

A large offset reheating method for high strength fusion splicing of hollow core photonic crystal fiber and single-mode fiber is proposed. The splice strength improves greatly, while the additional loss is well suppressed.
