Terahertz Radiation with a Continuous Spectral Bandwidth reaching beyond 100 THz from a Laser-Induced Gas Plasma

Abstract

The generation of coherent terahertz radiation with a spectrum covering the range from below 1 THz to more than 100 THz is demonstrated, using an air-plasma with sub-20-fs two-color optical excitation.
