PDL Monitoring based on the Eigenvalues Spread of a Data-Aided Zero-Forcing Frequency Domain Equalizer

Abstract

Precise and robust PDL monitoring is demonstrated over a wide range of combined channel impairments. The PDL value is extracted from the zero forcing filter matrix estimated by using short CAZAC training sequences.
