Energy-saving bottom-lit LED backlight with angle-control freeform lens

Abstract

In this paper, relation of transmittance of prism sheets used in bottom-lit LED backlight on the direction of incident light was studied. Freeform lens was utilized to enhance the efficiency to make displays more energy-saving.
