Effect of Phase-Transforming Medium on Coherent Electron Dynamics in Gold Nanoantennas

Abstract

We probed the coherent plasmon dephasing time (T2) in gold nanostructures while thermally modulating the surrounding VO2. Our findings indicate three distinct lifetimes corresponding to the insulating, metallic and one at the phase-transformation onset.
