A Microstructured Dual-Core Dispersion Compensating Fiber Design for Large-Mode-Area and High Negative Dispersion

Abstract

We propose a novel dual-core optical fiber design with a microstructured inner cladding for dispersion compensation. With the present design we show −33000 ps nm−1 km−1 dispersion with a mode-effective area of 68 μm2.
