Abstract

We demonstrate light trapping in thin (1–20µm) Si slabs using subwavelength surface Mie scatterers. Photocurrent in 20-µm-thick crystalline-Si solar cells is enhanced by up to 20% with respect to flat cells with a standard Si3N4 coating.
