Single Molecule Sensing in a Hybrid Photonic-Plasmonic Antenna-in-a-Nanocavity

Open Access Open Access

Abstract

A hybrid photonic-plasmonic nano-device is presented as a new tool to study DNA-protein interactions without using fluorescent labels. The device sensitivity reaches the single molecule level and local heating effect is negligible.
