Controlling the effect on solvent by resonant excitation in femtosecond optical tweezer

Abstract

Observation of direct effect of temperature rise in water around optical trap center is presented. Irradiation of IR laser with low power during pulsed 780 nm trapping significantly changes solvent viscosity keeping trap stiffness unaffected.
