Sonotweezers: complementing the size and force spectra of optical trapping

Abstract

Optical trapping is suited to applications with small forces, high spatial control and for nanometre- to micron-sized particles. We present Sonotweezers, manipulating particles up to millimetres in scale with forces in excess of nanometres.
