Abstract

Plasmonic optical trapping of polystyrene micron-sized spheres using Au bowtie nanoantenna arrays is demonstrated. Conventional trapping constraints are greatly reduced, allowing for the use of weak focusing and inexpensive, low-power sources (laser pointers).
