Rapid confocal imaging of large area excised tissue with strip mosaicing

Abstract

Strip mosaicing in a confocal microscope allows imaging of cellular morphology over large-area tissue for rapid pathology at the bedside. We scan 10 mm long strips and stitch to display 100 mm2 in five minutes.
